Sean Fanning is a San Diego-based set designer specializing in scenic design for the stage.

Upcoming work: "Sweeney Todd" and "The Norman Conquests" for Sean Murray (Cygnet Theatre, Old Town). He is the Resident Design Assistant for the Old Globe, and a Resident Artist at the Cygnet Theatre.

Recent designs: "Noises Off" and Theresa Rebeck's "Mauritius" (Cygnet Theatre), "KINGDOM" directed by Ron Daniels (The Old Globe Theatre), "A Christmas Carol," "The Receptionist", "A Little Night Music", and "The Matchmaker" directed by Sean Murray (Cygnet Theatre); "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Two Gentlemen of Verona" (Old Globe/USD); and "Zombie Prom," directed by Rick Simas (SDSU, KPBS Patte Award for Best Scenic Design).

Sean holds an MFA in Scenic Design for Theatre, Television, and Film from San Diego State University, and a B.A. in Technical Theatre from Sonoma State University.
